James Nichols' Steak Suykiaki

James Nichols was Betty Brennan’s step-father (aka Papa Nick to Mary Ellen, Bobby, and Tommy)

Ingredients

3 tbsp. of oil
1 onion, sliced
1 can of beef broth
1/4 cup of soy sauce
1 tbsp. of sugar
1 can of bean sprouts, drained
1 green pepper, sliced
1 cup celery, sliced
1/2 cup of water
1/4 cup of cornstartch
1 lb. of top round steak

Directions

1. Brown meat

2. Add onion, broth, soy sauce, sugar, bean sprouts, green pepper, and celery

3. Cook until meat is fork tender

4. Service over rice or noodles
