Three-Ingredient Shortbread

A great, last minute treat with ingredients we all usually have in our kitchens!

 

Ingredients

1 stick of unsalted butter
1 cup of all purpose flour
1/2 cup of sugar

Tip! Do not grease the pan as there is more than enough butter in the mixture

Directions

  1. Place oven rack on lowest position and preheat to 325 degrees

  2. Mix the flour and sugar together

  3. Using a fork, break up the butter into small bits

  4. Add the flour mixture until it forms small bits

  5. Press the mixture into an 8 inch pan

  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes

  7. When you remove from the oven, and while still hot, take a small serrated knife and “mark” into 8 pieces

  8. Cool completely and bread will pan easily and beak into the pre-scored pieces
