Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups of softened butter
One 8 oz. package of softened cream cheese
3 cups of sugar
6 eggs
3 cups of sifted cake flour
1 tsp. of vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. of almond extract

frosting

One 1 lb. package of Domino Confectioners sugar
1/2 cup of butter, softened
3-4 tablespoons of milk
1 tsp. of vanilla

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees

  2. Mix the creamed butter and cream cheese

  3. Gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed for 5 minutes

  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition

  5. Add flour and stir in flavorings

  6. Pour into 10 inch greased and floured tube pan

  7. Bake for 1.5 hours and then let cool

  8. For the buttercream frosting, combine ingredients with mixer at a low speed

  9. Beat at medium speed for 1-2 minutes until creamy and cover the cooled cake
