Aunt Margie's Pound Cake

Ingredients
3 sticks of butter
3 cups of sugar
6 eggs
3 cups of flour (sifted with baking powder)
1 tsp. of baking powder
2 tsp. of vanilla extract
1 tsp. of almond extract (if you do lemon icing, use lemon extract instead)
1 cup of milk
Glaze
1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
1 tsp. of almond extract (or lemon for lemon icing)
5 tsp. of water
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Cream together butter and sugar
Add eggs one at a time
Add dry ingredients and milk, gradually
Add extracts
Grease and flour a tube pan
Bake for 1.15 hours
Let cool for 5-10 minutes before removing from the pan
For the glaze, sift together ingredients, adding water last as needed for spreadability
