Apple Cake

This is a delicious cake my mother-in-law, Peg Maggs, used to make. You will need a large mixing bowl to combine ingredients, and a tube pan for baking.

Ingredients

1 cup of butter
2 cups of sugar
3 eggs
3 cups of flour
1 1/2 tsp. of baking soda
1 tsp. of cinnamon
1/8 tsp. of nutmeg
3 cups of chopped apples
2 cups of nuts
1 tsp. of vanilla

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees

2. Cream butter and sugar

3. Add egg, then add dry ingredients and mix well

4. Add apple and vanilla

5. Add to tube pan and bake for 1.5 hours
