Uncle Tommy's Meatloaf

Uncle Tommy was usually the chef meatloaf night, but he taught his little sister, Dorothy, well.

 

Ingredients

3 lbs. of ground beef, 80% lean
1 lbs. of loose pork sausage
10-12 saltine crackers, crushed
2 eggs beaten with 1/2 tbsp. of milk
2-3 tbsp. of Worcestershire sauce
2 medium size onions chopped small
Salt and pepper to taste

Makes two loaves

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Mix meat, onion, crackers together in a large bowl

  3. Make a space in the middle of the mixture and pour in Worcestershire sauce, eggs, and milk, and mix together

  4. Mold two loaves

  5. Place on broiler pan in heated oven for 45-60 minutes

  6. Cut in middle to make sure its cooked through
