Toffee Crunch

Ingredients

35 saltine crackers
2 sticks of butter
1 cup of granulated sugar
12 oz. package of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup of chopped nuts, optional

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees

  2. Place crackers on foil-lined 15x10 baking sheet

  3. Melt butter and sugar on medium-high heat

  4. Bring to a boil without stirring

  5. Pour over crackers

  6. Bake for 7 minutes, then immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips

  7. Let stand for 5 minutes, then spread chocolate over baked layer and sprinkle with nuts

  8. When cool, break into irregular pieces
