Toffee Crunch

Ingredients
35 saltine crackers
2 sticks of butter
1 cup of granulated sugar
12 oz. package of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup of chopped nuts, optional
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Place crackers on foil-lined 15x10 baking sheet
Melt butter and sugar on medium-high heat
Bring to a boil without stirring
Pour over crackers
Bake for 7 minutes, then immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips
Let stand for 5 minutes, then spread chocolate over baked layer and sprinkle with nuts
When cool, break into irregular pieces
