Isabel Fair's Hot Fudge Sauce

Submitted by Joan Darby and Eileen Brennan

Note from Joan: I enjoyed this sauce at many a Sunday dinner at the Fair’s in Natick, Massachusetts during my years at Wellesley College. Isabel was married to Jim Fair, first cousin of our grandfather, John Francis Brennan Sr. Jim lived his whole life in Natick, his birthplace and the birthplace of our grandfather.

Note from Eileen: This eventually became a Christmas even tradition, and is often made other times when Dorothy and John’s children and grandchildren get together for a family dinner at Runnymede Place.
