Herbed Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Ingredients

4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
3 oz. of cream cheese, softened
3 oz. of feta cheese, crumbled
1/2 tsp. of sweet basil
1/2 tsp. of dried oregano
1/3 tsp. of salt
Dash of pepper
Dash of garlic powder
4 tbsp. of melted butter
4 toothpicks

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees

  2. Wash and pound each chicken breasts flat

  3. Lay flat chicken breasts on foil covered cookie sheet to prepare before transferring to 9x13 inch pan

  4. Spread cream cheese onto each breast and then sprinkle feta cheese on top of cream cheese

  5. Mix together basil, oregano, salt, pepper, and garlic powder

  6. Roll up each breast and secure with a toothpick

  7. Place them in the 9x13 inch casserole dish and pour the melted butter over all

  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 1.5 hours

  9. Uncover dish and increase oven to 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes

  10. Serve on own or over rice with pan juices pour on
