Aunt Margaret Fagan's Chicken Dish

Aunt Margaret told me about this chicken dish. My family likes it and I find it easy and fast to serve!

 

Ingredients

1 lb. of chicken
3-6 potatoes
1 bag of sauerkraut, do not drain
1/2 stick of butter
Caraway seeds, optional

Directions

  1. Place chicken in a large pot first

  2. Cut potatoes into quarters, and put in the pot

  3. Pour bag of sauerkraut over the chicken and potatoes

  4. Put stick of butter on top

  5. Place lid over pot and cook until potatoes are cooked through and tender

  6. Serve with crusty bread and cold beer
