Grandma Kjeldgaard's Cabbage Salad

Ingredients for salad

Head of cabbage
2 onions
2 green peppers (or red)
Several stalks of celery

ingredients for dressing

1 cup of sugar
1 cup of white vinegar
1/2 cup of salad oil
1/2 cup of water
1/2 tsp. of salt

Directions

  1. Shred cabbage

  2. Finely chop onions, peppers, and celery

  3. Toss all with the dressing

Tip: Flavor improves after 24 hours and keeps for many days!
