Broccoli Salad

My sister-in-law, Helen Brennan, makes this for parties.

 

Ingredients

1 head of broccoli (or 2 bunches of flowerets)
8 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
1/2 cup of chopped red onion
1/2 cup of raisins
8 oz. of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup of mayo
2 tbsp. of vinegar
1/4 cup of sugar
1 cup of halved cherry tomatoes

Directions

  1. Wash broccoli and cut into bite size pieces, then place into a large bowl

  2. Add crumbled bacon, onion, raisins, and cheese

  3. In a small bowl, combine mayo, vinegar, sugar, and tomatoes, stirring well

  4. Add to broccoli mixture and toss gently
