Mrs. Culotta's Noodle Casserole

Mrs. Culotta was my godmother. My family has many fond memories of celebrations at the Culotta’s house. Aside from her excellent cooking, Mrs. Culotta specialized in “make-ahead” dishes that served a crowd. This is one of my favorites.

 

Ingredients

One 12 oz. package of wide egg noodles, cooked
1 tbsp. of pimentos, minced
2 cups of sour cream
2 cups of small curd cottage cheese
1 clove of minced garlic
6 tbsp. of grated onion
1/4 tsp. of Tabasco sauce
1 1/2 tsp. of Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. of salt
1/2 cup of grated sharp cheese, reserve for topping

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

  2. Put ingredients into buttered casserole dish

  3. Sprinkle cheese all over top

  4. Bake at 375 for 25 minutes
