Gomer's Banana Bread

This recipe, which comes right from the book, is my family’s favorite version of banana bread. Sometimes I will throw in a 1/2 cup of mini semi-sweet chocolate morsels…mmm..mm…good!
Ingredients
6 to 7 ripe bananas, mashed
1 cup of oil or butter
2 cups of sugar
4 eggs, well beaten
2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour, sifted
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup of nuts, walnuts or pecans
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Grease 2 large or 5 small loaf pans
Mix oil with sugar
Add eggs, beat
Add bananas, stir
Sift dry ingredients, then mix everything together
Put batter in the pans
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or more as needed
